PMC takes action against anti encroachment cell head, restricts his power

Following the incident in which he was seen kicking a stall during an anti-encroachment campaign on F C Road, Madhav Jagtap, the deputy commissioner of the Pune Municipal Corporation’s encroachment department, is the subject of controversy.
His actions drew condemnation from all sides and divided his power as well.
Vikram Kumar, the Pune Municipal Commissioner, took action by removing two Zones from his responsibilities and designating him as the head of two and three Zones. In the viral video case, the Commissioner also sent a show-cause notice to Jagtap.
Raju Nandkar, a new deputy commissioner chosen by PMC, will oversee operations in zones one and two, while Madhav Jagtap will oversee zones three, four, and five.
